Sunset Gate on Quiet Water
A crimson sun stands slow behind the gate, Its timber bones keep watch above the tide. The teal sky hushes, holding back all fate, While last warm daylight lingers, wide and wide. Beneath, the water writes in gold and blue, A broken mirror stitched with gentle light. Each ripple vows the silent scene is true, And carries dusk beyond the edge of night.
