Sunlit Riviera Muse

She stands where tidal hush and sunlight meet, In ivory cloth, with salt upon the air; Her gaze is calm, a heat both sharp and sweet, As noon engraves its halo in her hair. A hibiscus blooms upon her swaying bag, While distant palms lean low and shadows fade; The sea keeps time, a slow electric drag, And summer holds the pose the world has made.
