A crane stands watch where quiet waters shine, While ember sun sinks low in salted air. Palm shadows drift in teal, a dreaming line, And time slows down, unburdened by despair. Its long beak points toward horizons unspun, Black feathers hold the dusk in gentle bands. The lake repeats the last light of the sun, As night arrives with soft, unspoken hands.
