Boxing Legends: The Golden Age of Fight-Night Posters

Meet Boxing Legends, vintage fight-night promotional posters of the sport's greatest fighters, in a burgundy-and-gold duotone with aged-paper grain.

There was an era when a fight was announced by a single poster in a shop window, and that poster did half the work of selling the bout. Boxing Legends brings that ritual back: the sport's greatest fighters, rendered as vintage fight-night bills, all drama, grain and gold.

The tradition we're drawing on

Every print in the collection is built on the same 1970s promotional look, so the set hangs together like a wall of old fight cards:

  • A burgundy-and-gold sepia duotone, warm, high-contrast and unmistakably vintage.
  • Aged-paper texture and halftone grain, the feel of something pinned up decades ago and never taken down.
  • The nickname as the headline, one legendary alias in weathered cream block lettering across the top.
Note

Because every poster shares one grade and one type treatment, a few of them together turn a games room, bar or hallway into a proper hall of fame.

The first card

The opening set gathers the names that defined the sport:

LegendKnown for
The Greatestfloat like a butterfly, sting like a bee
Iron Mikethe most feared man in the division
Smokin' Joethe left hook that floored a legend
Hands of Stonefour decades and four weight classes
The Brown Bombertwelve years as the man to beat
The Manassa Maulerboxing's original million-dollar draw
The Greatest boxing poster
Iron Mike boxing poster
Smokin' Joe boxing poster

Made to actually live with

The attitude is only half of it. Every Boxing Legends poster is printed on the same 200 gsm matte paper as the rest of the catalogue: smooth, glare-free, and made to sit flat behind plexiglass. (More on paper in Paper Weight, Explained.)

Tip

A black frame suits the duotone and the drama. Hang three greats in a row and you have a fight card that never comes down.
