Claude Shannon

A sophisticated black-and-white portrait of Claude Shannon before a chalkboard bearing his information entropy formula, H = -Σ p log p. Vintage press-photography styling captures the father of information theory, whose work underlies all modern communication.

The symbols drift like dust upon the darkened slate, Where secrets of the code and hidden truths await. A mind of logic stands in suits of gray and stark, To cast a brilliant beam upon the silent dark. The entropy of bits is bound within the scroll, A measured flow of thought to stir the restless soul. He sees the hidden lines that weave our modern way, And turns the turning tides to light of brighter day.
